Today I have received the information that Kurt Bächler has passed away
on 22nd June 03. Known as the "father" of (not only) European
Trampolining, he was an international key figure in the sport of
trampolining throught his life. He was a pioneer of trampolining. He
initiated a difficulty and scoring system, was a very successful
national coach of the Swiss team with regular medal winners at European
and World Champs 1965-70, active in the Swiss and International
governing bodies and organised the Nissen Cup for 30 years.
We remember him as an exceptional person.
